Alaska Airlines Partners with Meili to Streamline Car Rental Bookings

Meili's direct model enables Alaska to own the end-to-end customer experience

‍

‍Dublin, Ireland – October 13, 2026 – Meili, the leading technology platform enabling direct ancillary distribution, today announced that Alaska Airlines has partnered with the company to modernise the car rental booking experience for its customers.

Alaska, a Seattle-based premium global airline, continues to evolve its digital experience, the airline wanted its car rental offering to keep pace, with greater flexibility, a more integrated customer journey and more control over how the experience is delivered. By partnering with Meili, Alaska can connect directly with car rental partners while retaining control of the customer experience, brand and data.

“Airlines shouldn’t have to give up control of their customer relationship, their data or their experience to sell ancillaries,” said Mike McGearty, CEO of Meili. “Alaska understands that. Together, we’ve built an experience that feels like Alaska, performs for Alaska and gives them the flexibility to keep improving it.”

Alaska went from implementation kick-off to live with Meili in just nine business days, demonstrating the speed and flexibility of Meili’s direct model and the close collaboration between both teams.

"The integration process and work with Meili has been first class," said Jason McCauley, Director of Commercial Partnerships & Business Development at Alaska Airlines. "What has stood out most is the responsiveness of the Meili team and the strength of their modern technology platform. Working with Meili has allowed us to improve both the guest experience and operational efficiency, and we're excited about what we can accomplish together going forward."

Alaska joins Meili’s growing network of airline partners across North America, Europe and Latin America, including Lufthansa, SAS and LATAM, as Meili continues to challenge the traditional ancillary distribution model and put control back in the hands of travel brands.
